Stamps on Buddha

Chennai: The Department of Posts will release a set of six commemorative postage stamps on Gautama Buddha on Wednesday. The stamps depict a statue from the Gandhara period when Buddha was a prince; a sculpture from Myanmar where he is an ascetic and a meditating Buddha image from Sarnath.
