Plea to set right anomalies in DA
Special Correspondent
CHENNAI
: The Retired LIC Class One Officers' Association has urged the management of the Life Insurance Corporation of India and the Central Government to remove discrepancies in dearness allowance payment for those who retired prior to August 1, 1997 and those who retired after that. Till that date both the retired officers and those in service were getting the same rates. The association said adopting different rates of DA for two groups of pensioners amounted to discrimination and appealed to the Government to remove the disparity.
