CHENNAI: Janata Party president Dr. Subramanian Swamy will teach graduate students at Harvard University from June 26 to August 18, a press release here said. Dr. Swamy will teach two summer courses, one on mathematical methods in economics and the other, a comparative analysis of Chinese and Indian economies. He has had previous experience of teaching at Harvard. In January next year, he will also host a conference on the `India-China-U.S. triangle' at Ernakulam in which scholars of Harvard University and Tsinghua University, Beijing, will participate.
Kamal Nath to address Oxford college
New Delhi Special Correspondent writes: After Railway Minister Lalu Prasad's interaction with students from Harvard, it is the turn of his Cabinet colleague Kamal Nath to deliver a special address at the University College in Oxford on Thursday. The special address, which is part of the University's Global Economic Governance Programme, will be on "India and the Future of the World Trade Talks." During his visit to the U.K., the Minister of Commerce and Industry is also likely to call on Prime Minister Tony Blair. On the bilateral front, he will hold discussions with Secretary of State for Trade & Industry and participate in the Indo-U.K. Joint Economic & Trade Committee review meetings. Bilateral trade has risen from $6.2 billion in 2003-04 to $9 billion in 2005-06 with India enjoying a trade surplus.
