Mr. Patil, who studied various irrigation projects in the Krishna basin, wrote "Keli Krishneya Alalu" and it was widely discussed few years ago. The book received widespread appreciation in political circles. In the book, Mr. Patil discussed on the problems faced in completing various irrigation projects that come under Krishna basin, owing to the disputes raised by the Andhra Pradesh Government.
