Entries for stories invited

HYDERABAD: Prajashakti Literary Trust has invited entries for the annual Moturi Hanumantha Rao Best Journalist Award to be given on the topic `Bhu Bhagotham'. Journalists can send stories published between May 1, 2006 and April 30 this year to `Prajashakti', Street No.1, Ashoknagar, Hyderabad 500020 before May 30.

A committee comprising Pothuri Venkateswara Rao, C. Raghavachari and V. Hanumantha Rao will select the award-winning entries.

Award presentation

The award will be presented on June 18, the sixth anniversary of Moturi, along with a cash prize.

V. Krishnaiah, Chairman of the trust, said in a press release that two awards would also be presented in memory of Bommareddy Venkateswara Rao, a staffer of Prajashakti who died recently.

For daily staffers

The awards are to be given to daily staffers as also those from the districts. Rao's son has set up a fund for the awards.
