Letters to the Editor
It is sad that in the present globalised world the fervour associated with May Day is decreasing. It is a wrong notion that the day is exclusively meant for the working class. It needs to be celebrated by every section of society in the spirit it deserves. The underlying theme is the celebration of the labour that goes into every human endeavour. All the fabulous scientific and technological achievements of mankind had their roots in labour. Let us hope that the various forms of exploitation of the marginalised sections come to an end. Let us try and usher in an era of permanent international peace, stability, and prosperity.
