GANDHINAGAR: The three arrested Gujarat police officers in the Sohrabuddin fake encounter killing case, D. G. Vanjhara, Rajkumar Pandian and M. N. Dinesh Kumar, on Wednesday were taken to some places associated with the alleged crime. They were taken to Vishala, on the outskirts of Ahmedabad, where Sohrabuddin was allegedly shot dead on November 26, 2005 and to two farmhouses at Koba, near Gandhinagar, where Sohrabuddin and his wife, Kausar Bi, were reportedly kept for some time. Later they were taken to Vanjhara's native village Illol in Sabarkantha district, where the body of Kauser Bi was allegedly burnt and the remains were disposed of in a well in his farmhouse. The police believe that after Sohrabuddin and Kausar Bi were brought from Hyderabad on November 23, they were kept in one of the Koba farmhouses. Sohrabuddin was allegedly picked up and killed two days later. The farmhouse owner, a friend of Vanjhara, requested the police to shift Kauser Bi and she was moved to the other farmhouse owned by a BJP corporator of Ahmedabad. There, a policeman on guard allegedly raped her. The police are also investigating the allegation that Kauser Bi was administered poison when she turned hysterical after the rape. On her death, her body was taken to Illol and burnt.
