Praveen, Raju share honours

HYDERABAD: P. Praveen Prasad and M.Y. Raju were declared joint-winners in the one-day Aurora Trophy rapid chess tournament organised by AP Chess Association here on Wednesday.

Final placings: 1. Praveen Prasad and M.Y. Raju, 3. V.Jagadeesh, 4. J. Ramakrishna, 5. M. Vinay Kumar, 6. G.V. Srinivas, 7. A.V. Kishore, 8. I. Ramyakrishna, 9. P. Srikanth, 10. P. Satyanarayana.

Special prizes: Best woman player: M. Janaki Devi. Best veteran: P.S. Kameswara Rao.

Locuz XI posts win

Locuz XI scored a seven-wicket win against HFFC - B in the Coronet Cup corporate cricket tournament at Shashi Seth Stadium (Kapra) here last week-end.

The scores:

Silicon Business Solutions 82 lost to BUA XI 84 for four.

HFFC - B 137 for nine (Ramesh 68, Manohar four for 19) lost to Locuz 139 for three (Manohar 69 not out, R. Ravi 44 not out).
