Congress seeks CBI probe into woman's death

Dehra Dun: The Opposition Congress on Wednesday staged a sit-in here demanding a CBI probe into the death of a Hardwar woman, in which, they alleged, the "circumstantial evidences" point against an Uttarakhand Cabinet Minister.

"We want a CBI probe into the matter since all the circumstantial evidences are against an Uttarakhand Minister," PCC chief Harish Rawat, who led the dharna at Gandhi Park, said without naming the Minister.

Asked to name the Minister who is said to be linked with the death, Mr. Rawat said, "Everybody knows who this Minister is. A lot of reports have already appeared in the media regarding his identity."
