Britain to help in checking human trafficking

New Delhi: With concerns rising over human trafficking and cheating of Indian brides by NRIs, Britain has promised to take steps.

"We welcome people in the U.K. coming through the proper channels. But those coming illegally are not entitled to be there," visiting British Minister of State for Legal Affairs, Baroness Ashton said.

Baroness Ashton, who met Law Minister H.R. Bhardwaj and a top official of the Ministry for Overseas Indian Affairs, said Britain was ready to work with India in the prevention of illegal movement of people from here to her country. - PTI
