Road markings to be provided for pedestrians

HYDERABAD:
Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation is to lay emphasis on providing markings on main roads for the benefit of pedestrians and also put special focus on formation of new link roads and junctions' development in the new financial year.
Special Commissioner Sanjay Jaju, after a review of special projects along with Additional Commissioner (Planning & Projects) K. Dhananjaya Reddy and others, sought targets to be fixed for various road-widening works and acquiring properties.
Ongoing flyover and road overbridge constructions have to be expedited within the stipulated time.
Shifting of poles is to be done on a war-footing in coordination with Central Power Distribution Company and Telecommunications Department so that ducts are put underneath footpaths.
