Hyderabad:
Falaknuma Bus Depot, which is lacking in basic facilities, will be developed into a modern depot soon. The necessary infrastructure and amenities will be created with funds earmarked by Hyderabad MP Asaduddin Owaisi, District In-charge Minister Mohd Shabbir Ali and the RTC.
This was announced by Mr. Ali while inaugurating two RTC services with destination boards written in Urdu, Telugu and English languages here on Wednesday. In tune with the Government policy, the APSRTC has started implementing the three-language formula in its city services. The Minister also flagged off the new services from Teegalakunta to Mehdipatnam and Teegalakunta to Secunderabad Station.
Mr. Owaisi urged the RTC to display the destination boards in Urdu in all the 15 districts where Urdu is declared second official language. Earlier, RTC Managing Director V. Dinesh Reddy said use of Urdu in the destination boards would be of immense help to the minority community. He said this facility would be extended to all services in a phased manner.
