BJP welcomes stay over land acquisition
Staff Reporter
HYDERABAD:
The Bharatiya Janata Party has welcomed the High Court stay on the notification issued for land acquisition in some villages of Medak district for the Outer Ring Road.
The State unit of BJP said that the High Court stay proved that the allegations of farmers, land losers, political parties about corruption and irregularities in land acquisition notification issued for Velimala, Kollur, Edula Nagulapalli villages of Ramachandrapuram, Patancheru mandals were true.
The High Court already had given a stay over the Ring Road junction near Kandlakoya, Airport Trumphet near Shamshabad and junction near Puppalaguda, it said.
The BJP demanded that at least now the Government should correct the irregularities and reduce the road width from 500 ft to 250 ft and give a compensation on par with market rate without deducting the income tax.
It also demanded sanction of pattas to farmers in view of stay given over Nadergul lands, withdrawal of cases foisted against N. Indrasena Reddy, BJP workers and farmers and filing of criminal charges against officials who tampered with the registration records.
