Mayor inspects sanitation work

NEW DELHI: Delhi Mayor Arti Mehra on Wednesday directed the Sanitation Department of the Municipal Corporation of Delhi to complete de-silting of storm-water drains by June 15. She was on a daylong inspection of sanitation work being carried out in the Captal's trans-Yamuna areas.

She also appealed to the municipal councillors to take regular stock of the sanitation work being carried out in their wards and exhorted the staff to cultivate a work culture. She also promised a sum of Rs.1 lakh to each municipal ward for better sanitation.
