PCB notice to hospitals

KOCHI: The State Pollution Control Board (PCB) has issued notices to nine hospitals in Ernakulam district for failing to meet the standards prescribed for treatment of biomedical waste.

The hospital managements will have to submit their reply within 10 days.

The PCB had earlier found that the biomedical waste treatment facility available in several hospitals was not up to the mark.
