KOCHI: Rail services to Willingdon Island were restored on Wednesday, enabling flow of cargo from the Cochin Port Trust (CPT). Train services to the island were suspended on February 24 after the Venduruthy bridge was damaged by a dredger operating for the CPT. The Container Corporation of India brought 10 train-loads of containers and moved 11 train-loads between March 14 and May 1 through its bridging service from the Thammanam goods yard.
