V.P. Rama Rao, ex-Chief Secy., passes away

HYDERABAD: Former Chief Secretary V.P. Rama Rao (73) died here on Tuesday following a heart attack. He is survived by wife and two sons.

Rama Rao served the State Government in various capacities before becoming the Chief Secretary. His services as Higher Education Principal Secretary are widely acknowledged by the teachers associations as well as other sections. Chief Minister Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy described him as an efficient and honest officer.
