TIRUPATI: Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) is roping in film music directors for its second phase of programme to bring out audio cassettes on the unexplored compositions of saint poet Annamacharya. Participating in a programme attended among others by film directors -- K. Viswanath and K. Raghavendra Raol, music directors, Kiravani, Vandematharam and lyricist Bharavi, TTD Board Chairman B. Karunakar Reddy said on Wednesday that hardly 1,100 compositions of Annamayya had been published while another 12,000 `kritis' were yet to see the light of the day. Mr. Reddy appealed to Telugu film directors, music directors and lyricists to help the TTD in its endeavour. Raghavendra Rao promised to bring out a video cassette on the life of Annamayya. Lyricist Bharavi visualised a day when people would hum only Annamayya kritis and nothing else. Kiravani described the TTD's initiative as a landmark programme and wanted all Telugu artistes to join the movement. Mr. Karunakar Reddy released an audiocassette entitled, `Annamayya Tirunalla' composed by Vedavyasa Ranga Bhatter, Telugu scholar and lyricist. TTD's Joint Executive Officer N. Srikanth chaired the group discussion. Earlier Bhuman, Director of TTD's SVETA welcomed. Medasani Mohan, Director, Annamacharya Project also participated.
