Order against British couple stayed

PANAJI: The Bombay High Court in Goa on Wednesday stayed an order of the Foreigners Registration Officer (FRO) to a British couple to leave the country within 15 days (by May 10, 2007), pending hearing.

Dean and Gillian Latimer, British nationals, residing at Siolim in north Goa had approached the High Court over the order and cancellation of their visas valid up to August 30. The couple told the court that they were not given an opportunity to show cause.
