Man found dead at railway station

VIJAYAWADA: The railway police found the body of a 50-year-old man on the platform number one of the Vijayawada railway station on Thursday. The victim was identified as T.S.N. Prasada Rao. The police suspected that sunstroke could be the reason for Rao's death.

Dies in mishap

A 27-year-old man died on the spot when he was hit by a speeding van near Ramavarappadu ring on Wednesday night. The police identified the victim as Vellanki Kusuma Kumar of Nidamanuru. The accident occurred when Kumar was returning to his home from the city on his motorcycle. The van hit the motorcycle from behind, killing Kumar on the spot.
