CHENNAI: The Depression formed over east central Bay of Bengal in the evening of 3rd May moved slightly Northwards and lies centred at 0830 hours IST of 4th May at latitude 14.5 degree north and Longitude 93.5 east at about 350 KMs north of Portblair. The system is likely to intensify further and move in a north northeasterly direction and cross Arakan coast by tomorrow morning the 5th May.

Rainfall occurred at most places over south interior Karnataka, at many places over coastal Karnataka and Kerala, at a few places over Tamil Nadu and north interior Karnataka. Isolated rainfall occurred over coastal Andhra Pradesh, Rayalaseema, and Lakshadweep. Mainly dry weather prevailed over Telangana.

Forecast (Valid until Sunday morning): Rain or thundershowers are likely to occur at many places over Kerala, at a few places over interior Tamil Nadu, coastal and south interior Karnataka. Isolated rain or thundershowers are likely to occur over coastal Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, north interior Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh and Lakshadweep.
