12-year-old bags MTA award

ANANTAPUR: Twelve-year-old classical dancer from Anantapur Amrutha P. Nayar has bagged another prestigious award recently. She received the "Samikya Bharathi Gaurav Satkar" during the golden jubilee celebrations of Madras Telugu Academy on April 29.

Barely 12, Amrtuha was one among the 12 child prodigies chosen from different fields and states felicitated by the MTA.

The girl was selected for the award for her achievements in Kuchipudi and Bharatanatyam.

She performed at the celebrations of the Music Academy Auditorium in Chennai and received the award from Maharashtra Governor S.M. Krishna.
