Lok Satta chief to tour Krishna district

Calls upon common men and intellectuals to take part in the movement for change

VIJAYAWADA: Lok Satta party national coordinator N. Jayaprakash Narayan will be visiting various places in Krishna district for four days from Saturday onwards as part of his `Jana Raajakeeya Yatra', a public contact programme.

Mr. Narayan will begin his tour with an interaction with people at 8 a.m. at Benz Circle on Saturday. He will proceed through Yanamalakuduru, Thotlavalluru, Kapileswarapuram, Kuchipudi and Challapalli before reaching Machilipatnam, where he will address a public meeting at Koneru Centre at 6 p.m. He will be interacting with the Muslim community at Shadikhana in Machilipatnam.

`Cleanse the system'

GUNTUR: The Lok Satta national coordinator reiterated the need for cleansing the political system of its deep-rooted evils. The present political system, full of selfish politicians and corrupt bureaucrats, was incapable of serving the needs of the people and the society, he said at a public meeting held here on Friday. He called upon the common men and intellectuals to actively take part in the movement for change.
