32 commercial properties sealed

NEW DELHI: The Municipal Corporation of Delhi on Friday sealed 32 commercial establishments in the Capital.

Fifteen properties were targeted in Shahdara (South). In adjoining Shahdara (North), five commercial units were sealed on the road along Mukherjee School. One property each was sealed on Lala Lajpat Rai Road in Central Zone and Rohini Sector-1. In South Zone, six properties were targeted on Dr. Ambedkar Marg. Two properties each were sealed on Ram Mandir Marg in Janakpuri and Internal Road in Shastri Nagar.

No violations were found on Loha Market Road in Sultanpuri.

Held for allegedly assaulting boys

NEW DELHI: A 52-year-old man has been arrested for alleged criminal assault on five minor boys of an orphanage at Subhash Nagar here.

According to the police, Virender alias Bala assaulted the boys on Monday night and a case was registered the following morning. He had been absconding since the incident came to light and was arrested on Friday. The victims are aged between five and nine years and are students of a primary school.

Three arrested in murder case

NEW DELHI: Three persons have been arrested at Sultanpuri here for their alleged involvement in a murder case.

According to the police, Krishan Pal, who ran a lathe machine in Krishan Vihar, was found murdered opposite Vijay Lal Quarters on Wednesday night with stab injuries on his neck. During investigation, the police purportedly found that his wife Parvesh had an extra-marital relationship with her colleague Manoj Sharma and the two along with their accomplice Narender Kumar had committed the murder. All three were then arrested.

Shekhawat unveils postal cover

New Delhi: Vice-President Bhairon Singh Shekhawat on Friday unveiled a postal cover to commemorate the birth centenary celebrations of late Dasharatmal Singhvi here.
