Hooda reviews health projects

Special Correspondent

CHANDIGARH: Six mobile vans and mobile medical units, equipped with operation theatre and specialised services on wheels, would be made operational in Haryana soon, Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda said on Saturday after reviewing major projects of the State Health Department.

He emphasised the need to further improve the health indicators and directed speedy completion of buildings of various health institutions and strengthening of the basic infrastructure.

Financial Commissioner and Principal Secretary (Health) Urvashi Gulati said the scheme of setting up Delivery Huts had been highly appreciated by international agencies including the World Health Organisation and the World Bank.

About 433 Delivery Huts had already been made operational and the demand for such huts was increasing.
