IPM to conduct water quality testing in State

HYDERABAD: The Institute of Preventive Medicine, in coordination with Panchayat Raj Department, Rural Water Supply and Irrigation will test quality of water all over the State.

The decision to this effect was taken at the State Task Force meeting for reviewing water borne and vector borne diseases control held on Saturday under the chairmanship of Health Minister S. Chandrasekhar.

A State-level committee would be formed under the Institute of Preventive Medicine for water quality testing and it would meet once in 15 days in the coming four months. Sanitation would be launched in all villages and urban areas before June, commencement of monsoon season.
