CPI(M) to continue support for UPA Government

Ballia (Uttar Pradesh): Virtually rejecting the CPI's demand for a review of Left support to the United Progressive Alliance (UPA) Government, the Communist Party of India (Marxist) has made it clear that it will continue to support the Congress-led coalition to keep "communal forces" away from power.

"There will be political instability in the country if we withdraw our support to the UPA Government which will ultimately benefit the BJP," CPI(M) Polit Bureau member Sitaram Yechury told reporters here. — PTI
