Kerala Congress (M) alleges anarchy under LDF rule

CPI(M) workers taking law into their hands: Puthussery

PATHANAMTHITTA: Kerala Congress (M) general secretary Joseph M. Puthussery on Sunday alleged that the State has been plunged into a state of anarchy under the CPI(M)-led LDF rule.

In a statement issued here, Mr. Puthussery alleged that CPI(M) workers were taking the law into their hands. "Law and order has become a thing of the past in the State. Criminals, burglars and mafia groups are at large, making a mockery of democratic norms.

"Illegal bomb-making has more or less become a small-scale business in many parts of the State. The main culprits in the blast near the venue of a meeting of Leader of the Opposition Oommen Chandy at Vennikkulam, near Thiruvalla, a few months ago are still at large," he alleged.

Mr. Puthussery alleged that flow of illicit spirit from the neighbouring States had become rampant since the LDF came to power. The `role' of many ruling CPI(M) leaders had been exposed through the recent spirit seizures, he said. Encroachment of Government land had become common in Munnar, he said. Land grabbers were continuing with illegal construction activity on the encroached land disregarding even the Chief Minister's directive to put a stop to it, he alleged.
