Corporation may follow Exnora's zero waste model

CHENNAI : The Chennai Corporation will consider ways and means to implement the Exnora's Zero Waste model being implemented in Pammal municipality after consulting Local Administration Minister M.K. Stalin, according to Mayor M. Subramanian.

Speaking at the inaugural of a medical camp and Civic Exnora Club at Ayanavaram on Sunday, he was referring to the visit he had made the previous day to inspect the Exnora-implemented model to manage waste and reduce litter in the suburban local body of Pammal.

Saplings planted

Exnora founder M.B. Nirmal and president Sulochana Ramaseshan participated in the event at which five saplings were planted on Palaniandavar Koil Street, where the Civic Exnora would function.

Several people participated in the camp.

Blood donation and eye and dental check-ups were conducted at the camp.

Eleven people were referred for cataract surgeries which would be performed on Tuesday.

Around 90 people were treated for dental problems.
