HYDERABAD: Finjaan, which promises to offer a taste of `real tea', has started serving the same at three eateries in the city on Sunday. Priced between Rs. 50 to Rs. 160 per cup, it will be available at Fusion, deli9 and Grill room located at Road No. 1, Banjara Hills.
Costly affair
The company, which organised a Tea Festival on Sunday, also will offer what is described as the most expensive tea in the world. Green Tea of Makaibari, which is sold at Rs. 2 lakhs per kg in international market, can be tasted at its Tea Lounge, Tolichowki with a prior appointment. "The price is being worked out and one will need to have an appointment to taste it," said Salman Taiyebi of Finjaan. Real tea is the one that is made from leaves and not dust. One does not mix sugar and milk to prepare quality tea. "We are organising the tea festival and tea tasting sessions to promote a perfect cup and enjoy pure leaf tea," he said.
Special cups
Specially prepared glass cups and other crockery too has been lined up to serve it. A total of 36 different tea varieties including a few rare delicacies is what Finjaan has lined up.
