dated May 8, 1957: Leaders' portraits

To ensure uniformity in regard to the display of portraits of national leaders in Government offices and educational institutions in the different regions of the State, the Bombay Government have issued revised instructions, according to which the portraits of the following leaders are to be displayed in Government offices and educational institutions run by the Government: The President of India, Mahatma Gandhi, Chatrapati Shivaji, Dadabhai Naoroji, Lokmanya Tilak, Sardar Patel and the Prime Minister, Mr. Jawaharlal Nehru.
