Disturbing

It is disturbing to note that seven U.S. Congressmen, collectively representing not more than 4.5 million people, had the audacity to address the Prime Minister of the world's largest democracy in such a patronising tone (U.S. Congressmen attack India's relations with Iran, link this to nuclear deal, May 7).

However, coming from a country that has its own insidious agenda, it is not at all surprising.

On the issue of oil, though Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez continues to belittle George Bush and denounce U.S. hegemony, the U.S. keeps buying a major portion of its oil from Venezuela.

What is wrong if India and Pakistan look out for themselves by laying a gas pipeline along with Iran?

Hyderabad
