Staff Reporter

BHUBANESWAR: Wild elephants killed two persons in two separate incidents in Keonjhar and Sundargarh districts since Sunday evening.

A herd chased five residents of Sarubali village under Telkoi block of Keonjhar district when they went to collect wood. While four villagers escaped, a 50-year-old woman fell down. An elephant grabbed the woman and threw her away resulting in her death. Elephants attacked a house at Sanadamauda village in Sundargarh district and trampled a girl, Prabha, to death.
