    Meeting held

K.C. Venugopal, MLA, speaking at the meeting told the Society, which met under the chairmanship of District Collector V.K. The deficiencies in the existing sanitation system had to be sorted out and strict measures taken up to ensure clean and hygienic surroundings in hospitals, he said.

District Medical Officer N.N. Murali said all the hospitals had been put on alert over possible hospital-acquired infections and to take up measures to prevent any such eventualities.
