What stringent action?

BANGALORE: Right from its inception, the Kannada Development Authority (KDA) has been warning the bureaucracy to issue all official reports, circulars and orders in Kannada or face "stringent action" in vain. Another such episode of stringent action put the KDA Chairman Siddalingiah at his wit's end recently. At a press conference on Wednesday, reporters pointed out to Dr. Siddalingaiah to the English notes and releases issued at a technical meeting being held next to his office on the third floor of the Vidhana Soudha.
