`Deve Gowda's views will be respected'

Staff Reporter

Bangalore: Higher Education Minister D.H. Shankaramurthy on Monday said he had not received any letter from president of Janata Dal (Secular) H.D. Deve Gowda on the performance of his Ministry.

He was speaking to presspersons after laying the foundation stone for the fourth floor of the Directorate of Pre-University Education building here.

Mr. Shankaramurthy said that he would give due importance to the suggestions made by Mr. Deve Gowda.

Mr. Deve Gowda was a former Prime Minister and his views would be respected, the Minister said.

Letters

Mr. Deve Gowda had announced that letters had been sent to all Ministers, including those from the Bharatiya Janata Party, explaining his views on their performance and the suggestions to be carried out in the next five months.

He also wanted the ruling partner BJP to strictly abide by the Common Agenda of Governance agreed upon between the two parties while forming the coalition Government.
