dated May 9, 1957: Kerala CM refutes charge

Replying to the two-day debate on the Governor's address in the Kerala Assembly on May 8, the Chief Minister, Mr. E.M. Sankaran Namboodiripad, dismissed all talk of lawlessness and insecurity in the State as "entirely unfounded allegation." He said all the allegations made by the Opposition were based on wrong reports and assured the House that every case that was brought to the attention of the Government would be enquired into and proper action taken, no matter what the party affiliations of the culprits were.
