Mascot of development

The face that was propped up as anti-development by the Congress-led UDF before the elections became the mascot for taking the State into the Smart City.

Chief Minister V.S. Achuthanandan had a hero's welcome at Thrikkakara on Monday, when he attended a function there.

The Congress leaders must be smarting over all the credit being taken by Mr. Achuthanandan for making the Smart City project a reality, while it was a major election campaign of the UDF.

Even the evictees from Edachira, where problems related to land acquisition for Smart City was taken up as a fight for the rights, seem to have given up and agreed to accept the Government's package.
