It was fun all the way for the children who joined Sparsh, a charitable institute for honing children's skills at Tripunithura. Children from class I to VII were invited for the camp, which introduced these children into the world of art, literature and games. "We had the first week devoted to poetry and the second week to prose, the third week to drama and the fourth week to music," said Nitya Gopalakrishnan, director of Sparsh. "We divided the participants into three groups according to age and gave them enough time to draw and sculpt their own works," said Geetha Suresh, member of the institute. The institute had experts in various fields like poets, writers and singers as guests. During the drama week, children even managed to ready their own play and act it out too, said Ms. Suresh. A talent week will be held next after which a grand finale will be organised by the children at the camp on May 19. The fee of Rs.1,650 for the camp from 9.30 a.m. to 3.30 p.m. took care of the lunch and snacks in the morning and evening with tea and juice.
