Naveen excels for Friends Union

Bangalore: B. Naveen scored a 105 and then grabbed four wickets to help Friends Union Cricket Club (FUCC) defeat Bangalore United CC by ten wickets in a KSCA Group I, first division league match here recently.

FUCC scored 329 in its first innings and bowled out Bangalore United CC (1) for 126.

Following-on, Bangalore United CC scored 209 and FUCC, needing just seven runs for a victory in its second innings, notched it in three deliveries.

The scores: Group I, first division: FUCC 329 in 74.2 overs (B. Naveen 105, B. Akhil 65, M. Vinod 50, C. Raghu five for 67) and seven for no loss in 0.3 overs bt Bangalore United CC (1) 126 in 49.2 overs (Surendra four for 34, B. Naveen four for 36) and 209 in 62 overs (Arjun Hegde 75, D.V. Anish five for 46).

Malleswaram Gymkhana 317 in 75.2 overs (Yere Goud 97, Prasanna Patil 48, Anand Katti 42 n.o.) bt Bangalore Cricketers 134 in 36 overs (Raju Bhatkal five for 40) and 133 in 43.2 overs (Anand Katti seven for 37).

Wadiyar CC 271 in 83.2 overs (Harsha Tiptur 74, Maharshi 50, Rajashekar 43, G. Chaitra four for 77) drew with Jawahar SC (1) 290 for four in 57 overs (K.C. Avinash 116, C.B. Karthik 87).

Vultures CC 270 in 84.5 overs (Anirudh Joshi 72, Nikhil Kashyap five for 96) and 56 for two in 32 overs drew with Herons CC 357 in 76.1 overs (Abhinav Kumar 111, Gaurav Dhiman 77, Nikhil Kashyap 52, Anirudh Joshi five for 138).
