Ordnance factory staff gesture

NOBLE CAUSE: S.K. Beri, General Manager of Ordnance Factory, Tiruchi, giving away utensils to a school student.

TIRUCHI: Employees of Ordnance Factory, Tiruchi, donated materials to a primary school at the neighbouring Kumbakudi recently.

Led by the General Manager, S.K. Beri, a majority of the employees make monthly contributions towards a fund floated to promote welfare in the neighbourhood and facilitate primary education, adult education, primary healthcare and environment protection.

At a function organised earlier this month, Mr. Beri donated utensils, plates and tumblers on behalf of the employees to the president of Kumbakudi panchayat, Govindaraj, for running a nutritious noon meal scheme at the village school.
