Gulbarga: The Gulbarga police have arrested a person on charges of cheating youth by promising them jobs, here on Tuesday. An advertisement in some newspapers on Monday and Tuesday promised youth aged between 20 and 25 jobs in the State Bank of India, State Bank of Mysore and State Bank of Hyderabad. It invited those interested for a walk-in interview at a hotel. Around 50 men and women lined up for the interview. Some men who attended the interview were told by a person in the "interview board" that they would hear from him soon. Meanwhile, bank officials who came to know about the "interview" approached the police. The police and bank personnel visited the hotel and picked up the culprit. The accused identified himself as Anand Kumar Mathpati of Hubli.
