VISAKHAPATNAM: An irate mob of over 50 persons allegedly manhandled Ch. Sominaidu, owner of Padmavathi Nursing Home in Tagarpuvalasa on Tuesday.
Negligence alleged
According to the Bheemili Police, Narsiamma (25) resident of Kothuru village was admitted in the hospital at 1 p.m. for snake bite and died at around 3.30 p.m. The victim's relatives and a few friends, who allege negligence of the hospital staff, manhandled Dr. Sominaidu and broke a few glass panes.
Police called
The police were called to stop the rampaging mob. The doctor claimed that despite administering the required treatment the victim could not be saved as the venom had already spread into her blood stream. No arrests have been made so far.
