Production in NALCO plant hit

KORAPUT: Production in the refinery and mines of NALCO at Damanjodi in Koraput district was hit on Tuesday when members of the Association of Land Displaced People (LDP) staged a demonstration in front of the plant seeking compensation for the death of one of their members allegedly due to doctors' negligence.

Chandra Mastiputiya, a land displaced person from Mathalput, died at the plant's hospital because of lack of medical attention, Ballav Jani, joint secretary of the association, alleged.

He sought employment for one of the sons of Chandra Mastiputiya.
