Man found dead at Aminjikarai

CHENNAI : A 42-year-old man was found dead under mysterious circumstances at Aminjikarai on Tuesday.

Police identified the victim as Rambabu of Uttar Pradesh. He was living with about 10 friends in a room at Karsa Garden in Aminjikarai police station limits. He was selling pani puri in the city.

When a friend of Rambabu came to the latter's house, he saw him lying in a pool of blood. There were many cut injuries on several parts of the body.

The Aminjikarai police visited the spot and sent the body for post-mortem. A sniffer dog was pressed into service. A case of murder has been registered. Further investigation is on.
