Four die, one hurt in road accidents

MANGALORE: Four persons died and one person was injured in separate road accidents in Dakshina Kannada on Sunday, according to police.

John T. (60) of Ashok Nagar who was injured after a car hit him while walking close to the junction at about 5.45 p.m. on Sunday.

He was admitted to a hospital here on Monday where he died. Urwa police have registered a case.

Two persons who were travelling on a motorcycle were killed on the spot when a bus hit their two-wheeler in Bajpe. Police gave the names of the deceased as Ramesh Anchan and Harishchandra. In a separate incident at Rama Nagara in Bantwal town on Sunday, Dinakara who was riding pillion on a motorcycle died when a bus knocked the two-wheeler down.
