Bangalore: Two persons reportedly committed suicide on Monday in and around Bangalore. Balaji (17), a second pre-university student who was to appear for the Common Entrance Test on Wednesday, committed suicide by hanging himself on Monday. The Kamakshipalya police, who have registered a case, said that Balaji, son of an Inspector, took the extreme step because of depression. In his suicide note, Balaji said that he could not come to terms with his uncle's untimely death. The police said he (Balaji) committed suicide by hanging himself in his aunt's house in Karekal. In the note, he has urged his parents to donate his eyes, the police added. In another case, Ashok Babu (37), resident of Gururaj Layout, Vidyapeeta Circle, was found dead under mysterious circumstances. The Chennammanakere Achchukattu police, who have registered a suicide case, said that Babu was suffering from brain tumour and could not afford treatment. However, they suspect foul play and are awaiting the post-mortem report.
