MTR Foods: talks fail

Staff Reporter

Bangalore: The second round of talks between the management and employees of MTR Foods Limited on Tuesday to resolve the dispute over wages remained inconclusive.

At the meeting on Tuesday, the management's representatives asked the MTR Employees Union to give an undertaking of good conduct, which the employees refused to do. Another meeting is scheduled for Thursday.

The MTR Foods management had declared a lockout from Saturday accusing the employees of adopting go-slow tactics besides violating the wage agreement.
