HYDERABAD: G. Pulla Reddy (88), who owned a chain of sweet shops in Andhra Pradesh, died here on Wednesday following a cardiac arrest. He is survived by wife G. Narayanamma, two daughters and four sons. He was admitted to the Asian Institute of Gastroenterology on May 4 for acute lung infection. Chief Minister Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy, TDP president N. Chandrababu Naidu, BJP national secretary N. Indrasena Reddy and the Vishwa Hindu Parishad condoled his death. BJP president Bandaru Dattatreya and other leaders visited the hospital. Pulla Reddy's is a rags-to-riches story, with the cornerstone of his success being his uncompromising commitment to quality.
