NEW DELHI: The Homoeopathic Pharmaceuticals Association of India - consisting of homoeopathic importers, wholesalers, retailers and manufacturers -- has complained that consignments of imported homoeopathic medicines that arrived in New Delhi have not been cleared by the Customs authorities for the past one month. "The trade continues to suffer irreparable losses due to non-clearance of consignments worth crores of rupees. Also, it can have an adverse impact on the medicines due to improper storage facility," said Homoeopathic Doctors' Forum general secretary Sushil Vats. "Since many of the leading importers and distributors are located either in Delhi or in Northern India, the port has played a vital role in managing the supply chain for the past 15 years," he said. The association members say they have made representations to several leaders but have not been able to get any relief .
